Define" Labour" vs "delivery"

Define" Labour" vs "delivery"
There is a difference between these two terms "labour" and "delivery "
Labour: Term is used when strenuous process is involved in expulsion of fetus through vagina
Delivery : Term is used when the fetus is extracted from either abdominal route or vaginal route with or with out strenuous work by pregnant.
Delivery is term used in broad sense
Labour is used in certain condition.
labour term can be included in delivery but delivery term should not be included in labour in all conditions. In other words all labour process can be come under delivery but all deliveries can not be put under labour.
I hope I might be succeeded to explain minute difference between these two main terms

fortwin plus phenargan

tramadol

some GA drugs

epidural top ups with bupivacaine

risks complications must be outweighed with advantages then only it becomes popularise.

please put your experiences here in comments about painful or pain less labour/delivery

Diabetes+Obesity = congenital anomalies baby

Diabetes+Obesity = congenital anomalies baby

Recent studies are showing some interesting facts

Prevalence of maternal obesity is increasing day by day.

and anomalies of fetus in utero is also increased,

maternal weight alone was not associated with an increase in congenital anomalies.

Diabetes was significantly associated with the increase in the rate of anomalies seen in our population. Identification of maternal weight as a risk factor in epidemiologic studies may be a surrogate for pregestational diabetes.

LEVEL OF EVIDENCE: II

Vegetarian diet gives advantage in Pregnancy.. No?

Vegetarian diet gives advantage in Pregnancy..Yes ?or No?

In oldendays most of the people advice vegetarian diet for pregnant ladies

But Recent studies are mentioning pregnants should take more essential fatty acids ,essential amino acids. As vegerians get less essential aminoacids and fatty acids compared to mixed diet eaters.B12 vitamine also exclusively available in animal products. It couldnot get through pure vegetarian diet.Defiency of B12 leads to megaloblastic anemia.

Conclusion:

Mixed diet is always best during pregnancy to get all types of nutritive things.

when delivery is called normal?

When is delivery called normal?

Dear friends

Every body may get so many doubts about pregnancy and delivery.

What is normal delivery? when we call it as normal delivery?

1.Pregnancy should be full term ( 37 -42 completed weeks)

2.Spontaneous onset of labour pains

3. Fetus should be more than 2.5 kg and less than 4kg.

4.Fetus should be live, single

5.No undue interventions ,manipulations, induction ,instrumental use ,prolonged labour process

6.No complications to mother or fetus

7.Route of delivery should be through vagina

What are the routes of delivery?

Routes of deliveries are ( 1) vaginal (2) abdominal _caesarean section

Are they any types in vaginal routes?

Vaginal deliveries are again many types : with instumental aids (ventouse , forceps)
